A glass artist, currently sharing a studio with fellow resident, Ruth McCallum Howell.
Susan Reddrop is a resident glass artist and sculptor at Montsalvat. She is currently completing her Masters in Fine Art (Glass) at Monash University after a fine arts degree in sculpture at the Victorian College of the Arts.
Susan is represented by MARS Gallery in Port Melbourne and has recently had solo exhibitions at both MARS Gallery and Montsalvat entitled URGE, which incorporated glass sculpture and photography. She won the shopfront award at the Lorne Sculpture Exhibition 2009, was a finalist in the Cancer Council Awards 2009 and Nullimbik Prize 2010 and was also featured in The Age for her work in a group show entitled In the Kitchen Sink in 2010.
Susan has experience in teaching art with her time as an Artist in Residence for the 'Artful Dodgers Studio' over three years and conducting workshops for ArtPlay in the City of Melbourne. This, alongside her volunteer work with Monash Medical Centre and employment within the City of Boroondara Youth Services gives her varied skills in engaging people and managing complex arts projects. Susan intends to continue her private practice in glass alongside sharing her skills with the broader community and welcomes any interesting proposals for collaboration and/or commissions. She can be contacted by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and her studio at Montsalvat. Some of her work can also be viewed at www.susanreddrop.com.
