Saturday program

From Rome to Paris via Hamburg Concert

Barn Gallery, 4pm-5pm

Capella Corelli, a trio focussing on music of the Baroque, was formed in 1977 and has performed throughout Australia and Europe. In this concert the group is joined by gambist Reidun Turner to perform works of Corelli and Telemann. Corelli’s 48 trio sonatas, published in Rome over the last 20 years of the 17th century, became the model for the genre. His influence was still alive when the Hamburger Telemann visited Paris and composed his so-called “Parisian Quartets” half a century later. The result: late Baroque chamber music at its scintillating best!

Tickets: Adult: $35 / *Concession: $25
*Concession rates apply to those with a valid health care, pension card or student card.
