CommercIal Workspace/Shop

Montsalvat is calling for Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced business operators in the artisan craft industry for the lease of a commercial workspace/shop within Montsalvat’s retail precinct.

Montsalvat is a premier tourist destination in Nillumbik, with visitor numbers exceeding 30,000 per annum. Throughout the year Montsalvat plays host to exhibitions, workshops and concerts as well as private and corporate events. It has been the home to the Choral@Montsalvat Festival and Winter Solstice, our own Arts Festival, the starting point of the Nillumbik Mud Brick Tours and point of call for popular TV shows such as Post Cards and Melbourne Weekender.

Montsalvat has a distinctive identity that evokes the architectural significance and grandeur of the Heritage listed buildings, the tranquility of the stunning gardens and grounds and the support of an extended artistic community.

According to the Victorian heritage database, Montsalvat is historically, technically, architecturally, aesthetically, socially and spiritually significant to the State of Victoria. In addition to these important heritage values, Montsalvat has further significance as a cultural organization in the arts and cultural environment of Victoria because it has consistently been a place where art is exhibited, concerts are hosted and words are celebrated. It is a place where artists gather, interact and make work, and  is a significant and unique architectural icon providing a range of commercial and community undertakings.
