This collection of artworks by Gabrielle, assembled at the Monsalvat Long Gallery, derives its title Where from a poem by Julie Watts. Where is about the act of painting, the art of mark making and the calm and warmth it brings to city living.
Gabrielle’s detailed works embody a deep love for the natural world. Her often intimate and close-up compositions invite the viewer to share in the personal process of capturing this admiration.
Born in Perth, Gabrielle earned a Bachelor of Arts (Fashion and Textile Design) from Curtin University with studies aboard at the Kawashima Textile School in Kyoto and short courses with Central Saint Martin’s, London. She has been included in numerous public exhibitions including a solo exhibition at The Shop Gallery in 2017.
