Winner of the 2014 Australian Cello Awards in Sydney and the 2009 Royal Over-Seas League String Competition in London, cellist Yelian He arrives back in Melbourne with UK pianist Yasmin Rowe after 10 years of performing and teaching internationally. The multi award-winning duo "Y-Squared" comes to Montsalvat to present their stories in musical form. From the Variations by Rossini and the Fairy Tale by Janáček, to the Kapustin short works and Shostakovich's cold and intense cello sonata - each of these gems of composition have a life and story beyond the notes on the page - and it is with great pleasure these two international artists look forward to sharing their journey with you.
