CONCERT SERIES: Trio Anima Mundi - The Reissiger Project

Montsalvat is proud to welcome back Trio Anima Mundi in 2020 with a series of concerts by the international award-winning ensemble.

Trio Anima Mundi presents their thirteenth subscription series season - The Reissiger Project - in 2020. Following the overwhelming response to their performance of Carl Gottlieb Reissiger's first Piano Trio in 2019, Trio Anima Mundi formally continues to embrace their 'Piano Trio Archaeology' mission of presenting rarely-heard works from the piano trio repertoire by featuring three further trios by Reissiger in their 2020 series.

Concert 1 - Saturday March 21, 2pm - CANCELLED
Concert 2 - Saturday June 20, 2pm - CANCELLED
Concert 3 - Saturday October 17, 2pm - CANCELLED

Concert 1: Relative Harmonies and Concert 2: The Salieri Connection - CANCELLED

In light of continuing policy statements and advice from both Federal and State Governments, Montsalvat and Trio Anima Mundi have made the decision to cancel both the March 21 and June 20 concerts due to public health concerns with the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Our performers and patrons' health and wellbeing are of paramount importance to Montsalvat therefore we are taking the necessary precautions to protect the wellbeing of our community, which is our number one priority.

Montsalvat and Trio Anima Mundi intend to postpone the concerts to a later date, however, as no clear date has been set - all ticket purchases for these events will be automatically refunded to the point of purchase.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the cancellation and will be in touch with further information about postponing the concert.

Trio Anima Mundi's concert later in the year as part of the Reissiger Project Series is intended to go ahead on October 17.

Concert 3 - Poems of Passion - CANCELLED, brings the 2020 series to a close by combining unlikely programmatic bedfellows - drawing upon the two early piano trios of Russians Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich alongside Reissiger’s 18th Piano Trio.

Trio Elegiaque No.1

Dmitri Shostakovich

Carl Gottlieb Reissiger
