EXHIBITION: Lindsay Holders Handcrafted Ukulele Showcase

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION Delve into the world of handcrafted ukuleles, skilfully made with the finest materials. Lindsay will be showcasing a selection of his handcrafted works in the Residents Gallery, during which time he will be present in the exhibition space to share the stories of his artistic journey and craftmanship.

ABOUT THE ARTIST Lindsay Holder was a student of the renowned guitar maker Chris Wynne, who worked and taught at Montsalvat for 17 years. Inspired, Lindsay continued to hone his craft, travelling to the village of Benabbio, Tuscany to continue learning from Wynne. Eventally, he travelled to and studied Ukulele building in Hawaii, where he continues to exhibit as a member of the Ukulele guild of Hawaii.

Now, Lindsay lives and crafts his instruments in Eltham, a stones throw from Montsalvat. He has been a volunteer here for more then 10 years, and we are thrilled to exhibit of his works in the Residents Gallery.
