EXHIBITION: Janice McBride - A Reflective World; A Retrospective of Works

Janice McBride is a senior artist, painter and printmaker, who has established a distinguished career over her lifetime. Working in many different mediums, Janice has attained considerable recognition for her painting, print-making, mono-printing, wood- and lino-cuts, and design and painting of theatre sets. She is an artist who sees and depicts not only the outward appearance, but also the inner essence of her images, whether they be natural vistas, inanimate objects, or people; thus while they may be familiar, they also arrest the viewer with their vibrancy and inner life.

Her work has been shown in exhibitions in Australia, UK, USA and New Zealand. She has paintings and prints in the corporate market, in public places, and through the Australian Print Workshop has prints in the National Gallery, both in Canberra and Victoria.
