Bring your dry media drawing materials along to Montsalvat at 10am on Fridays in Winter and join local artist, Linda Schneider for a cosy drawing session inside the Skipper Studio at Montsalvat. Montsalvat invites artists to come together and share a day together in the pursuit of creation among the inspiring buildings and grounds.

Each week, Linda will lead the group and draw alongside you. This untutored casual session begins at 10am and we welcome you to drop in and stay for as long as you may like! This program runs rain, hail or shine.

What to bring

We encourage you to bring your own easel and all drawing materials you need. Dry media only (pastels, charcoal, pencils).
Outdoor water tap facilities available.
Please take all rubbish and materials home to wash up.

Linda Schneider

Linda is a practicing artist and is also a qualified and experienced secondary and primary teacher with tertiary qualifications in painting and sculpture. Linda’s own art reflects the stages in her life and the places she has visited or lived. Linda’s interests have covered an eclectic field including learning about Indigenous Australian Art in North-East Arnhem land, Batik processes in Indonesia, porcelain doll-making in Australia, and even home-made wines. Linda encourages people from all backgrounds and language abilities to join her in the Montsalvat gardens to enjoy the scenery and be inspired to produce art that is personal to ourselves.
