Taking a class at Montsalvat is a great way to get involved with the artists. Montsalvat is an inspirational and creatively stimulating environment for artists of all stages and all ages. Most classes are open to beginners and advanced students.

Mary Caia is a resident studio artist at Montsalvat. Join Mary in The Glass Room Gallery School of Art for her regular term classes, recurring workshops and many other artistic opportunities.
Angela holds oil painting classes from 9.30am to 12 noon on Wednesdays at Montsalvat. 9 weekly sessions during School Terms. Angela provides individual tuition in a group setting and beginners to more experienced students are welcome. Still life, figure and landscape are covered.
Adam is a tonal oil painter, teacher and resident artist who provides classes in still life and landscape painting.

Don has been teaching oil painting for more than twenty years and bases his methods on the tonal realist school centered around Max Meldrum.
He teaches the discipline of painting from seeing to the final application of paint, as well as the use and care of equipment and materials. Still life and landscape are covered, with beginners to advanced students welcome. Eight week terms run concurrent with school terms.
The Clay Talk Ceramics Centre is a ceramics facility located in the grounds of Montsalvat – Australia’s oldest continuously active artists’ community. We aim to be a creative environment that brings beginners and professionals alike together to celebrate the art of ceramics
Currently we offer classes where you can learn wheel throwing and hand building at all stages of development supplemented by specialist programs and workshops taught by established artists.
